George Christensen says Australians are “asking questions” about “election fraud”. Clive Palmer claimed electoral staff had taken ballots home with them. On Telegram, wild theories about Anthony Albanese’s legitimacy have begun to swirl.

But on Friday the Australian electoral commissioner, Tom Rogers, said “the vast majority of Australians” were “choosing not to engage” with disinformation and conspiracy theories about the federal election.
